Did you know that you might be leaving a lot of money on the table just based on the MLM marketing system you have in place? Too many network marketers construct their MLM marketing system based on what their company or their upline tell them it should look like. This can be a big mistake for your bottom line and for the growth of your business.

When creating your MLM marketing system, you want to create it around the proposition of this being YOUR business — and not you marketing someone else’s business. You are the expert, you are the one who will attract people and develop trust and a relationship with people. You are the one who wants to create a massive organization and bank account.

To do this, then, you want to craft an MLM marketing system that does two things: (1) pays you NOW so that you can keep your business going and can reinvest more money into it, and (2) pays you on an ONGOING basis (i.e., pays you a residual income).

In the context of marketing an MLM business and creating an MLM marketing system, a way to do this is to create your own product(s) for the “now” money, and to market your company’s products/opportunity as your “ongoing” income.

At first, this might seem like a strange suggestion for an MLM marketing system. Why would you bother to create a product of your own when your company already has them. Plus, how in the world do you do this, and are you even allowed to do this? Here is the how and the why…

Yes, you can and should integrate your own product(s) in with your company’s when you create your MLM marketing system. This is not to compete with your company’s products in any way. You are still marketing your company’s products fully. Instead the product(s) you create should compliment (but not compete with) what your company markets.

It is important to have a good quality, low end digital product you can offer immediately to people who opt into your list (known as a funded proposal). Funded proposals allow you to get paid now. You can also offer that to your database occasionally to put money back in your pocket. This component to your MLM marketing system will give you an ongoing source of revenue to offset expenses.

So let’s say you are marketing something in the weight loss niche. You could create a pdf product talking about the 7 key principles to losing weight.

There are 3 basic product type options: (1) video, (2) pdf or (3) a combination of video and pdf. If you are doing video, you can create it on your own computer using something like camstudio. The combination could be a video series that comes with an accompanying study guide or something.

Always keep your low end product priced under $100.00. I have personally found a solid price point on an entry level product to be in the neighborhood of $37.00-$47.00, but you need to test to see what the best entry level price point is for your product. Testing should be a core component to any MLM marketing system.

Adding in a product of your own will not detract in any way from you marketing your company’s products and building your downline. It is something to add to your MLM marketing system.
