Have you ever wished there was some sort of magic you could perform and “POOF” you would be rich?
If you pay attention to marketing you’ll see a lot of examples of people offering their customer the “magic bullet” or the “magic pill” that will solve whatever problem they have without doing anything they don’t want to do. (You know, like the ads to make $10,000 a day in your underwear from your kitchen table, or get six pack abs in 6 weeks without changing your diet or exercising…)
So, is there a magic pill to fix your marketing? I don’t think so, but there IS a magic bean.
Now before you wonder if I’ve gone insane, (or gotten drunk) let me explain the difference.
In fairy tales, magic pills usually come from an evil witch or wizard dressed up as a nice little old lady or man. “Take this pill and go to sleep. When you wake up, all of your problems will be gone…” (And it doesn’t usually work out as advertised does it?)
On the other hand, think about the magic beans from Jack and the Beanstalk… Yes, they grew a giant beanstalk overnight (which couldn’t have helped the neighbors property value) but Jack still had to work his ass off climbing the thing into the sky, stealing stuff, and fighting a crazy giant.
Does it make sense now?
Yes I can show you how to improve your marketing and get the customers and money pouring in again as long as you’re willing to put in the effort it takes to follow the system. (No breaking and entering or physical violence required) Is it a back breaking system involving lots of heavy lifting? No, but you still have to put in some reading, thinking, and writing time… If you want to be successful without effort, you’ll have to go find an evil witch.
Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying have to slave away day and night thinking about nothing but marketing, and I’m not saying you can’t hire a marketing consultant to help you, or even just handle your marketing… However you would be doing yourself and your shareholders a huge disservice if you didn’t build yourself a strong foundation in marketing first. Without understanding the differences between good marketing and bad marketing you run the risk of hiring a consultant who doesn’t understand the differences either.
But at least they can help you “get your name out there.”
Marketing is the key to financial survival. Without a solid foundation in effective marketing you are doomed. If your idea of good marketing is “getting your name out there” you don’t have a solid foundation. Brady Irvine is tired of seeing good businesses ruined by crappy marketing.
