World of Warcraft Item Upgrades Item upgrades are a key part of gearing up your character Upgrades increase the damage of your item and enhancements They also provide bonuses and enhancements They can be purchased through the Blacksmith Players can recycle any item by pressing the upgrade button on it upgrade item adds one level to the gauge for upgrading Weapons When a weapon gets upgraded it will gain an initial damage bonus as well as an adjustment factor that affects other stats The weapon may also gain a variety of upgrade components which provide additional effects or attributes as well as unique cosmetic effects These upgrades can be added to armors weapons trinkets gathering tools and trinkets Most require that the item has an upgrade slot available and that it meets certain specifications The upgrade component can be removed from the weapon armor or trinket but it cannot be replaced Except for legendary equipment Upgrade components can be recovered through the Black Lion Salvage Kit Ascended Salvage tool or hightier salvaging tool on an item In addition to the basic upgrades a weapon may be upgraded by adding a Calibration Attribute that improves certain stats such as Weakspot Damage or Crit Rate This is accomplished through the Gear Workbench interaction menu This can be repeated four times based on the weapon level After the weapon has reached its maximum level of improvement it can then be reforged to add different bonuses and effects or to improve specific stats A variety of these upgrades can be used at once and the effects are based on the nature of the weapon There are two Blacksmiths in the game that can perform these upgrades Blacksmith Hewg in the Church of Elleh hub area and Smithing Master Iji on the Road to the Manor Site of Grace Both upgrade materials are different Smithing Stones to modify the damage weapon does and Somber Smithing Stones to alter the standard weapons Generally it is recommended to increase the damage of your weapon first then armour defense and then the other secondary stats that are required by your build It is not uncommon to see melee Druids upgrade their weapon before upgrading other equipment This helps maximize DPS This is particularly applicable to enchantments that increase a weapons stats as well as damage Armor Item upgrades allow players to improve the base stats of certain pieces of armor trinkets weapons trinkets and gathering tools These upgrades can also have other effects such as an increase in damage or cosmetic enhancements Item Upgrades can be obtained through crafting buying from NPC vendors loot drop or as rewards for quests Armor can be upgraded by visiting the Armorer NPC and spending appropriate currencies In most cases the armor will be upgraded to next tier once an upgrade is applied Most types of armor can be upgraded but certain items such as the starter armour in Great Sky Island cannot Most armor upgrades provide only a slight increase in the items defense or strength However certain upgrade components can give significant enhancements to strength or defense especially when upgrading an item that is epic In addition to increasing the base defense of an item certain upgrades also offer special abilities that can be activated when wearing an armor These abilities can be very useful in combat For instance they can increase the speed of attack or block Some upgrades also provide useful passive effects for instance decreasing the amount of damage that is taken while wearing armor or granting the chance to avoid attacks Based on the type of armor being used upgrading an item could require multiple tries If a player wants to upgrade Steelclash armor into Dragonscale and the first attempt will result in a brand new Dragonscale armor with a defense base between 5967 The second attempt will result in a Dragonscale armor with the base defense of between 6777 The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild lets players upgrade their armor sets to level 4 To do this they must visit each of the four locations known as Great Fairy Fountains in the game Each location has a fair with a great power that can upgrade a piece of armor for you Despite popular belief armor isnt useless in The Division 2 The fact of the matter is that some armors come with very substantial increases in poison or curse fire or magical damage reduction making them invaluable for certain builds There are other ways to boost the stats of armor besides upgrading armor such as using the engineer trait to increase armor penetration or the challenger trait to decrease the weight of the entire armor Potion When you put a potion into the brewing stand you can unlock new effects The upgrade unlocks another level of effects from the potion and can be repeated for more potencies The potion also has an individual color code which the player can choose via give and that affects areaofeffect clouds and arrows generated by the potions In Bedrock Edition the custom color code of the potion is also applied to the effects of the particles in the potions The water bottle the mundane thick and awkward potions now have a brand new brewing texture The potion of weakness was added to the healing potion in the Creative inventory Addition of lingering potions which can be brewed using splash potions or Dragon breath Also added is a thick potion that has the status effect Mining Fatigue Issues relating to this update are tracked on the Bug Tracker Trinket A trinket can be described as a small inexpensive piece of jewelry It can be a ring or necklace Or even a small banner to mark the yard of a boat It can also be an gilded trinket attached to the mast of a boat This bizarre trinket appears to be influencing the denizens of this maze which makes them more prevalent At the moment the trinket makes all kinds of mimic Xx more prevalent and gives every floor a Y chance to have an ebonycolored mimic This trinket is priced at a moderate amount of energy to upgrade The magic of this enchanted scepter seems to be affecting the dungeon itself making it more likely to generate water and grass This trinket at the current level will cause X of regular floors to be filled with grass or water It does not affect glyphs enchantments or cursed weapons or armor or items that are generated to aid in the elimination of hazards rooms This item which appears like eyes of a newt appears to alter your vision in a manner that goes beyond merely reducing your fieldofview At its current level this trinket boosts the overall health gained from drinking potions of healing waterskins and wells of health by X It also grants the ability to see enemies within the Y tiles This is not a stacking feature with Heightened Senses Skull Cavern is where you will find Trinkets after completing the Mastery Cave You can find them after defeating Monsters and in chests and crates They are not found in the Mines or Volcano Dungeon When you find a trinket that needs to be upgraded place it in the Anvil to do so This will have an effect on the trinket that is random either increasing or strengthening its effects You can reforge a Trinket for as many times as you like but it will always have an effect that is different from the one it was when you forged it You can upgrade your Trinkets in the Alchemy Station by placing them into the Magical Catalyst This will cost
