Counter Strike New Revealed After months of rumors Valve has finally revealed Counter Strike new Its a major upgrade to CSGO that will put it on the Source 2 engine It also includes responsive smoke grenades and subtick updates for servers Its made a lot of armchair gamers go crazy but its actually an upgrade for the average player Smokes Counter Strike New has a huge update that will change the way smokes function in the game The changes are being described as responsive smokes and will be a significant game changer Smokes will now expand to fill spaces naturally and move around different objects on the map They will also react to the lighting of the games making them look more real Smokes will also to interact with game events This will create new tactical opportunities For instance bullets can force smoke to briefly clear sightlines and hex grenade explosions will disperse smoke obstruction Smokes will be more dynamic in the game Smokes in previous versions were a fixed shape and was limited in terms of how far they could be pushed and how much vision they blocked But the new smokes will now grow to fill the space they are within and hinder the players view when they are in the area This is a significant improvement that will increase the speed of play and give both teams the same view Smokes will also react to light and weapons as well as the surroundings of the world This makes the smoke appear more realistic and allow players to use it in different ways to gain an advantage over their opponents This will especially be beneficial in the chaotic 5v5 games that are sure to happen on every map Smokes are no longer a oneway This was a major issue in CSGO since it allowed players to see the position of their opponent from behind the smoke Twistzz is a wellknown CSGO professional who says the new system will make CS2 more fair for both teams Other minor improvements include adjusting smoke particles vertically to reduce the visibility of edges and updating the spectators smoke overlays to ensure that they match their cameras position The expiration time of smokes was updated to match the visuals displayed on screen Loadouts The CSGO players are now able to modify their weapon selection prior the start of each game The new loadout system allows players to select weapons that suit their playstyles and teams strategies The new system adds depth to the game as players must balance firepower and utility In addition to the brand new loadouts In addition to the new loadouts CS GO update includes a number of other improvements and modifications The most important is that the buy menu has been completely overhauled The old buy wheel has been replaced by a customizable grid which shows all the purchase options simultaneously The grid is comprised of five pistols as well as five midtier weapons such a submachine gun shotguns and rifles The new system is easy to use and gives players greater control over their weapon choices It will allow them to choose the weapons that suit their playstyle and team strategy the best as well to experiment with various combinations They can also compare their loadouts to other players and see how well they stack up While many players are pleased with the flexibility it offers some have criticized it for deviating from the essence of CounterStrike They also have raised concerns over how it will impact mapspecific loadouts and skins for agents based on visibility Despite these concerns it is important to remember that the new loadout system is in its early stages and will undergo more thorough testing in the coming months Some of these issues might be addressed in future updates It is essential to keep uptodate for more information In addition to the new CS GO features the new update also includes Workshop Tools which can be enabled through the games settings menu and enable community contributors to design weapon finishes stickers and maps Additionally the update will now live ban players who violate the VAC rules during games The latest CS GO update is scheduled to launch later in the summer For now players can look over the complete list of features and updates by visiting the official CS GO website SubTick Updates The server updates the world of CounterStrike in short intervals of time referred to as ticks The tiniest delay between a ticks time and the mouse click of a player may influence the accuracy of a shot so Valve is doing its best to ensure that CS GO is responsive and smooth A new video shows one of the games biggest underthehood improvements known as subtick updates Instead of a 64tickupdate each millisecond CSGO can now use subticks or as Valve calls it micro ticks to communicate with the servers The client will take note of each of tiny increments and then send them to the server The server will then transmit the updated game state back to players The servers will know exactly when you shot or jumped or swung or pounced While a oneminute video is not enough to explain everything the video explains each piece of information sent by the client is accompanied by a time stamp and that the server will collect all the information from all players in chronological order before sending it back According to the video a CS GO will be capable of sending twice as much information as a 64tick CS GO That means that if the games tick speed goes up to 128 Hz itll be able to process your commands immediately and consistently Microtick updates also decrease input lag making sure that the server responds to your commands without delays or glitches This is clearly only the start of the technical improvements Valve is making to the game The company is implementing dynamic smoke and particle systems to improve how smoke interacts with the surrounding and its upgrading all of the maps with highresolution textures lighting and models All CS weapons and cosmetics will also be updated with Source 2 tools and features Maps The next update for Counter Strike New brings new maps as well as a few classics that have been updated with facelifts The updates are currently being tested as part of a limitedtest beta The first set of maps includes touchstone and upgrade maps that will see no major changes to gameplay while others have been completely renovated or redesigned using the latest Source 2 tools One of them is Overpass has been reworked to make use of the engines new unified lighting system The maps eerie underground has been filled with light to make it more spacious and less crowded In addition smoke grenades are now able to expand dynamically to fill in spaces and interact with the new light Another map thats been overhauled is Italy and has undergone an overhaul in texture lighting structure and lighting The new version is more balanced than the predecessor which was heavily CToriented Fans can expect a few more classics such as Aztec and Militia which will be updated in the near future While many of these maps are playable in other modes theyre no longer added to the competitive map pool The exception is Train which was pulled out of Active Duty and will continue to be played in tournaments Valve has not yet confirmed if the other maps removed from the pool will be reinstated One of the more controversial updates is one designed by Helsingin Sanomat Finlands national newspaper The newspaper has been vocal in its criticism of Russias actions against Ukraine csgo cases is based off of the conflictravaged Donetsk The map is dubbed devoyna and it contains a number of references to the conflict In the near future the developer will be releasing a set of Source 2 tools for community map creators to utilize in their own designs This will include features such as improved lighting and character read as well as a physically based rendering system that creates realistic textures materials and reflections It will also allow for easier implementation of realworld objects like windows and doors The update is set to be released sometime in the summer
